Pitis POS is offline-first: all your data is stored locally on your device, and you are always in control of it. This page explains how to permanently delete that data.
1. Delete Your Account (In-App)
To permanently delete your Pitis account and all associated cloud data:
- Open Settings in Pitis POS.
- Scroll to the Account section and tap Delete Account.
- Confirm the deletion. Your Supabase account and cloud backup data are permanently removed.
Local on-device data (sales history, products) remains until you uninstall the app. This action cannot be undone.
2. Delete Local Data Only
To erase all business data (products, sales, staff, settings) from this device while keeping your account:
- Open Settings in Pitis POS.
- Tap Reset App Data.
- Confirm. All local records are permanently deleted from the device's database.
This action cannot be undone, so export any reports you need first.
3. Delete Everything by Uninstalling
Deleting the app from your device removes the entire local database and all associated files from the app's sandbox:
- Press and hold the Pitis POS icon on your Home Screen.
- Tap Remove App, then Delete App.
No copy of your on-device data remains after uninstalling.
4. Delete Cloud Backup Data (Manual Request)
Cloud backup is an optional feature planned for a future update. Once it is available and you have enabled it, your backed-up data can be deleted on request:
- Email hello@pitis.app from your registered contact address with the subject “Delete my backup data”.
- We will verify your request and permanently delete your cloud backup within 30 days.
- We will confirm by email once deletion is complete.
5. What Gets Deleted
- All business information (TIN, SSM, MSIC, address)
- All products, categories, and pricing
- All sales, payments, and stock movement records
- All staff accounts and hashed PINs
- Any cloud backup associated with your account (on request)
